At South Bucks Tree Surgeons, a key service that we offer is commercial tree planting and we were thrilled to support a recent Aylesbury Town Centre renovation project to enhance a pedestrianised shopped area. Here we were able to demonstrate our expertise in urban tree installation with selective tree planting and tree guard installation.

Working in partnership with a leading civils contractor, our urban tree planting specialists conducted a comprehensive site visit and recommended two beautiful Ornamental Pear trees (Pyrus calleryana chanticleer) to be planted.

The Pyrus calleryana chanticleer species was selected by South Bucks Tree Surgeons for its narrow conical shape with an architectural cosmetic quality. Their contained shape and interesting features make the Pyrus calleryana ideal for urban and street planting environments where space is at a premium.

The trees produce dark green glossy leaves which develop vibrant autumn colours and produce stunning creamy white blossom in spring, making them perfect for commercial landscaping projects that require year-round visual appeal.

South Bucks Tree Surgeons analysed technical drawings to ensure the very best urban tree guard installation system was selected and could be installed seamlessly into the pre-constructed tree pit. Our team's expertise in professional tree establishment ensured optimal integration with the existing infrastructure.

South Bucks Tree Surgeons installed the tree guard installation services collaboratively with the civils contractor, and Health & Safety zone protection was established throughout the project to ensure the area always remained safe for pedestrians and workers.

The professional tree guard systems were powder coated in a high-quality black finish, comprised of a cast ductile iron grill and strapped anchoring system with integrated anchor plates. Root ball protection was enhanced through carefully planned irrigation ducting placed around the root balls, which then entered into a water infeed point - a crucial urban drainage solution for long-term tree health.

Installed in Cambridge Street, Aylesbury, the trees are the perfect addition to the cosy street hosting an array of independent retailers and coffee shops with outside seating.
