Wood chip mulch
Our Wood Chip

Our wood chip comes from our green waste, which is fed through a brushwood chipper. This is then matured to a multi-purpose mulch and also a compost.
01
Our wood chip mulch can be used from garden planting beds, to footpaths or for tree planting. Mulch is an excellent weed suppressor as well as helping to retain moisture.
02
Our wood chip mulch is sold loose by the cubic metre load (in terms of quantity imagine a very full builders bag!) Our team deliver with a Land Rover and trailer.
03
As a registered firewood wholesaler, we are able to deliver large quantities on request. In fact, c90% of our stock is used as biomass at a local power station.

Frequently Asked Questions
Wood chip mulch is made from freshly chipped trees and branches from our tree surgery work. It's a natural, sustainable product that's excellent for gardens and landscaping projects. Our mulch contains a mix of wood and leaf material that breaks down to enrich your soil.
Our mulch comes directly from our local tree surgery operations across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We produce it from healthy trees we've pruned or removed, ensuring a fresh, high-quality product.
One cubic meter of our wood chip mulch typically covers about 10 square meters when spread at the recommended depth of 10cm. For thinner coverage of 5cm, it will cover approximately 20 square meters.
Yes, our mulch is completely safe for garden use. We decompose all our wood chip before being delivered. However, we recommend keeping fresh wood chips away from direct contact with plant stems and allowing them to age slightly before using around tender plants.
Store the mulch in a well-draining area. While it can be left in the open, covering it with a tarp during heavy rain will help maintain optimal moisture levels. The pile should be no more than 2.5 meters high to prevent excessive heat buildup.

Wood chip mulch typically lasts 1-2 years before needing replacement, depending on the climate and conditions. As it breaks down, it enriches your soil with organic matter, improving its structure and fertility.
